I. Belt Conveyors: Reliable Operation.
Belt conveyors are employed in numerous critical production units requiring continuous operation, such as coal transportation in power plants, bulk material handling in steel and cement plants, and loading/unloading operations for port vessels. In these scenarios, shutdowns would result in substantial losses. When necessary, belt conveyors can operate continuously throughout an entire shift.
II. Low Energy Consumption of Belt Conveyors.
With minimal relative movement between material and conveyor belt, operational resistance is low (approximately 1/3 to 1/5 that of scraper conveyors). This reduces cargo wear and damage, enhancing productivity. These factors contribute to lower production costs.
III. Belt conveyors offer strong adaptability and flexibility in conveying lines.
The roller-type conveying lines of belt conveyors are relatively flexible. Cable length can be customized as needed—ranging from just a few meters to over 10 kilometers. They can be installed in small tunnels or above ground in areas with chaotic or hazardous traffic.
Based on process requirements, roller belt conveyors can flexibly receive materials from one or multiple points. They can also discharge to multiple points or sections. When materials are fed onto the belt simultaneously at multiple locations (e.g., conveyors beneath coal silos in coal preparation plants) or at any point along the conveyor length, uniform feeding equipment ensures consistent material flow. The machine serves as the primary transmission line.
Roller belt conveyors can retrieve material from tunnels beneath stockpiles in coal storage yards and, when required, blend different materials within each stockpile. Material can be simply discharged from the top of the conveyor or unloaded at any point along its length using plow-type unloaders or mobile unloading vehicles.
